Blueprints-project organizes panel at Historicidagen

The Blueprints project has invited Bisshop Dirk Jan Schoon and Joost Flamand (director European integration, ministry of Foreign Affairs) to reflect upon the question whether there is a future for the European Union. The history of European integration can be characterized as a continuous balancing act between highlighting the importance of member states and moving beyond member states. Again, Europe is at a crossroads: more or less Europe. In this panel historical blueprints of Europe that were developed by churches, economic and political networks are discussed in relation to current discussions about the future of the European Union.
