Melbourne E. Aubrey was a Welsh Baptist minister and ecumenist. After residing at St Andrews Baptist Church Cambridge for twelve years, he was called to be the General Secretary of the Baptist Union of Great Britain and Ireland in 1925, a post he held until 1950. Aubrey was a member of the central committee of the World Council of Churches (WCC) from 1948 to 1954, and took part in the visit of the first church delegation to Germany in 1946. He was also Chairman of the British Committee of Churches for Christian Reconstruction of Europe.
