R.R. Dupree was the president of Proctor & Gamble and served as head of the Business Advisory Council (BAC) from 1942-1943, which was a group of influential businessmen that advised the President on economic matters. Other members were Paul G. Hoffman and Averell Harriman. In 1947, Dupree became a member of the President’s Committee on Foreign Aid.
