Fernard Louis Jean Dehousse was a Belgian politician, who was born in Liège in 1906.
During WWII, Dehousse joined the Belgian resistance movement. Starting out as a Liberal he turned towards the Socialist Party. He was a member of to the Consultative Assembly of the Council of Europe from 1954 until 1961, partly as President (1956-1959). He also joined the common European Assembly of the European Coals and Steel Community (ECSC), European Economic Community (EEC) and Euratom for several terms between 1952 and 1971.
