Maurice Schumann was a French Christian democrat. During the Second World War he was the “voice of France” on Radio London.
He was Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs in the Pleven, Faure, Pinay, Mayer and Laniel cabinets from 1951 to 1954.
He was a member of the Consultative Assembly from 1949 until 1951.
